Oh hello there! Things have been a little quiet around here as ‘Tis the season of weddings and university assignments and lets just say its been tsunami of late but a most enjoyable one at that.
My weekends have been spent celebrating with my favourite people and getting carried away to other worlds (and essays) by Oscar Wilde and Bram Stocker for my professional writing degree. That’s quality time well spent….
One of the most recent soiree’s was the wedding of my very lovely and uber stylish friends Lynzi and Tamen. Theirs was a match made in internet dating heaven around 3 years ago. Inevitably leading to a surprise proposal during a holiday in Byron Bay late 2012, the rest they say, is history.
Lynzi is a very talented personal stylist and the woman behind Mode By Lynzi fashion blog. If you live in Melbourne, Lynzi is your women for a complete wardrobe makeover. So when it came to her wedding, I had no doubt it would be amazing.
Lynzi and Tamen got married in an afternoon ceremony at Trofeo Estate in Dromana – an easy 1.5 hour drive from Melbourne. The ceremony took place on the estate in a green rolling field framed by a love heart wreath made of fresh flowers by our talented friends at Verdant Flowers . Verdent are based in Melbourne, but are available to style your wedding flowers all across Australia. The ladies can also help with event management and all your bespoke printing needs from save the date to table settings and personalised stamps.

Lynzi is originally from Derry and Tamen from Melbourne so the extended family flew in from Northern Ireland and across Australia to be there for the special day. Although the clouds looked menacing leading up to the ceremony, they provided a stunning backdrop for the afternoon’s gathering and the rain managed to stay away.

Lynzi and Tamen bought their rustic style wedding cake from Elwood Patisserie and Bakery. A simple but absolutely gorgeous three tiered sponge cake with lashings of fresh cream and strawberry jam.
