Hello lovely readers 🙂 My blog has been quiet these past couple of weeks now – and that’s because Ive been having the most amazing time in one of the most diverse, frantic, chaotic and stunningly beautiful  cities of the world, New York. Yes…Im totally and utterly head over heels IN LOVE with the city that truly never sleeps!
Im really not sure how I will adjust to life back at my office job in Melbourne after this crazy holiday and needless to say, Im attempting to eat my way through NYC before then! There will be plenty of NYC to come over the next couple of months but while Im on the road, I thought I’d give you a little snapshot of what Ive been up to so far, a taste of an average day as I attempt to sample life as a New Yorker and a few sights along the way – enjoy! xo  – Next stop San Francisco!
My holiday began with a little blogging business. I attended Amercia’s largest blogging conference along with 4500 other bloggers at Blogher12. It was definitely an experience and amongst the masses, I somehow managed to find some lovely new fellow food blogging friends in Lisa & Catherine from Sydney. They both have fantastic food health related blogs – check them out!
My favourite start to morning in NYC – some “everything’ bagel with Nutella – so good!
Followed by lunch – Grilled fish taco’s at Brooklyn Flea Market
A “little” sightseeing!
A cheeky afternoon treat to keep the energy up @ Pies n Thighs Cafe
Some shopping in the Garmet District……
Some arts and culture walking the High Line in the Meatpacking District
Dinner at much sorted NYC restaurant, La Esquina – the BEST mexican. Ever.
Followed by a gorgeous sunset as we cool down to 25c overnight – perfect!
Yes…its a tough life right now….
See you in San Francisco!
Gillian

I am SO jealous right now, but so glad you’re having such a wonderful time. Enjoy San Fran. I haven’t been but have heard it’s awesome. x
Hello
Lovely to meet you at BlogHer 🙂 I hope you enjoyed it! I am home in Melbourne now but recommend you going to Chelsea Market if you’re still in NYC. As go to the Spotted Pig and Momofuku – amazing food 🙂
Hey Gillian! It was so great to meet you. I’m still readjusting to life back at home. I have so many things on my to-do list after Blogher. Slowly ticking them off. Can’t wait to see your SF post. Am sure you had a wickedly delicious time. Lisa x
